Bailout is the deal of eternity, say Recipients

“Awesome!” Cries of joy and gratitude have been heard ringing across the planet as humanity has been offered a bailout: Total freedom, forgiveness of all debts, the slate wiped clean, all things made new. Who offered such a generous bailout? No one other than God himself. While euphoric thanks and praise are being offered in celebration of this Jubilee, all are not happy.

United Nations spokesman and longtime critic of God, Mr. Ali ‘Bout Mei said, “This so-called “God-sent” bailout comes at an unacceptable price, namely, embracing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is both offensive and unacceptable.”

According to the terms of the bailout, each individual is being offered a new start as what the Bible calls a “new creation.” The price? That’s the Good News. The Bible says, in Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Mr. Ali ‘Bout Mei, speaking via satellite from the safety of a secure, hidden bunker, said, “Humanity does not need God. We are doing fine on our own. Other than the occasional outbreak of genocide, plague, famine and constant of war, all is well. We can save ourselv..”  Ka-BOOM!

Missile radar suggests his hidden bunker is no long a secret and is no longer standing.

The bailout is summed up in John 5:24. Jesus said,  ”I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.” So really, we have no “life” within to offer God, only the payment and result of your sin, spiritual death. In exchange, he grants you eternal life.

The terms of the Bailout are simple: total surrender to the Lordship of Christ. Repentance (turning away) from sin and trusting in the finished work of Jesus on the Cross. Legally, it should have been you there judged, condemned and crucified, dying in just punishment for your sins but He voluntarily took your place that you might live eternally. He laid down his life for you. Now, lay down your for him and recieve eternal life!

Sure it looks like a crazy trade. The human race is freely offered the kingdom of God and eternal life; total forgiveness of past and present and future failure and sin, ruling and reigning with Christ in eternity as a race (a new creation) of priests and kings called the Redeemed. And what does God get out of the bailout? What he values most: you.

You can take the defiant stance of Ali ‘Bout Mei and shake your firsts at Heaven or you can raise your hands in gratitude and worship. Accept the terms and activate your Bailout. Pray and ask Christ to be your Savior and Lord.

Choose this day who you will serve.
