Signs of the times.
End of the world specials! Why? It’s all gotta go.
Due to flood damage and repeated vandalism by the Thief and his allies, the Manufacturer has announced a new beginning coming, a recreation. Everything and everyone has been recalled. This Clearance is final.
“God took a hard, but redemptive, look at his P&L (profit and loss) sheet and has moved everything – all of Creation - to the loss column. This present reality is too damaged, too marred by sin, to keep going the way it is,” said a spokesman for the famed Creator. “While he is grieved at fallen world, he yet loves the people. Therefore, whosoever will may join him in the new creation but they must come as a new creation – reborn by the Spirit of God.”
All shareholders in the kingdom need not be afraid: your stock is going up! Ever the Creator, God announces something new is coming. 2Peter 3:13. “But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.”
While those with bigger storage barns greeted the news with greed and anticipation so they could store up more and more wealth that decays and rusts for themselves, those who have embraced the kingdom of God rejoiced knowing that in just a little while, a new chapter in Creation will begin and they will rule and reign with Jesus.
Said a source close to the Creator, “The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.” 2Peter 3:10-12.
The real Foreclosure is coming and the Thief will finally be put out of business. Everyone is advised to check their portfolio and see where it is they are truly investing: in time which is fading, or in eternity which will not. As with his P&L sheet, so will stand every soul at the Judgment Seat of Christ. Some will appear as Profitable Servants while the rest will experience Loss that is eternal.
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Luke 12:34
