Obituary:
From a tombstone of a natural gas worker in Wiltshire, England:
“Blown upward
Out of sight:
He sought the leak
By candlelight.”
Welcome to SheepTrax Xpress, where we dare to ponder tombstone inscriptions in eternity’s light.
Ever heard of the Darwin Awards? These are awarded to, “The person who has done a service to the human genome by removing themselves from it.” It’s not kind, but you gotta wonder:
- A man cleaning a chimney decided to weld a weight to a pole and chose a live grenade.
- Another man found a detonator and plugged it in to prove it didn’t work… it did.
If you had to choose, what kind of death would you take? Consider Medhi Dibaj, an Iranian pastor and martyr. A former Muslim, he was charged with apostasy and spent 9 years in prison. After his release, he was kidnapped and tortured to death. He said, “It is a terrible waste for a Christian to die a natural death.”
On that great day, God will have awards of his own to give out for lives and deaths that have glorified Him.
So, what will they put on your tombstone?

I hope they put “She loved Yahweh to the end…with everything she had and was.”
Oh, that I will be as faithful. “The times they are a changin” and we just might be facing some of the same thing in this country. I pray for courage.
